The Online English Handbook is a primer on English grammar, punctuation and word usage. For example, it provides examples and instruction on proper capitalization, use of question marks and semicolons, and parallel structure. It won't replace your Strunk & White, but most people would gain a good deal from browsing its various windows and learning the lessons therein. The interface is simple black and white with a main menu that coordinates your journey into each topic area.
 
PARAMIND
This is a "brainstorming" program. You write a sentence and it substitutes alternative words. For example, if you write "It was a dark and stormy night" and select the word "stormy", you would get dozens of alternatives. One of which might be "It was a dark and humid night". It's a great yool for students or creative writers, alike.
 
PlastFEM
PlastFEM is an easy-to-use, finite element program. It is especially useful for learning the basics of the finite element method, or FEM. There is no limit to the size of the problems that it can handle. It can solve elastoplastic behavior of material in a plain stress state. It features a mesh generator, graphical postprocessing, and a manual with a FEM theory section.
 
Student Programmer
Student Programmer is a program designed to be used as a sketchpad for learning HyperTalk, which is the programming language of Apple's HyperCard. It is best used in a computer lab with the lesson plans included. Teaches programming skills and logic. Comes with complete lesson plans which can be printed out into student booklets and duplicated. Features a reference for standard scripts as a part of the program. To run efficiently, this program must be copied to your Hard Drive.
